Canopic Repose

This is a demo of Canopic Repose. In this demo, you can play the tutorial and first level of the game to get a sense of the core gameplay mechanics of Canopic Repose.

Canopic Repose is a grid-based turn-based strategy game with 12 levels. The premise is that you, the player character, have died, and are traveling through the journey through the land of the Dead as per Egyptian mythology, to be judged against the feather of truth to determine whether you are worthy to join others in the true afterlife.

In order to reach the end, you must defend your heart through the levels with the four canopic jars which each contain one of your organs and are protected by a companion god. As you go through the 12 regions of the night, each with their own particularities, either with a change to some aspect of the combat system, or with respite levels that allow you to upgrade and change canopic jar’s abilities, you gain more power to help you fully reach the end.
