Northeastern Underground is a co-op horror game for up to eight players set in the creepiest corners of Northeastern University. Explore real campus locations, collect scattered student IDs, and get out before something finds you. Equal parts nostalgia and dread — you'll never look at campus the same way again.
Something is wrong with Paws. Northeastern's beloved husky mascot has been in these buildings a long time. He knows the layout. He remembers where he last saw you. And he's getting closer.
Work with your team to find all the student ID keycards hidden across each level and reach the exit before the timer runs out. Move on foot, sprint when you need to, and use your phone as a flashlight to navigate the dark.
Along the way, you'll find items that can give you an edge — a Dunkin' Iced Latte to restore stamina, a textbook to shatter glass and create a distraction, a taser to stun Paws and buy your team time, and a Stanley Cup that makes enough noise to lure him away from a teammate. You can only carry four items at a time, so choose carefully.
Controls:
- WASD — move
- Shift — sprint
- Space — jump
- E — pick up / interact
- Q — drop / hold to throw
- M — model select
- P — pause
Items:
- Keycards — To unlock the exit door, all keycards must be in a player inventory and each player must have at least one keycard. Then, hold a keycard in your hand and pass through the exit door to escape. Once all players escape, all players win.
- Dunkin — While selecting this item, press E to consume the coffee and gain a speed boost for 5 seconds.
- Textbook — Throw this item at glass to shatter windows that can then be passed through.
- Taser — Throw this item at Paws to stun him for 5 seconds.
- Stanley Cup — Throw this item to create an audio distraction for Paws to follow.
- iPhone — While selecting this item, it will shine a strong light around you. iPhones always shine their light, even when dropped or throw.
